Default possibly a good place for your taxable saving

I just opened my 2nd account (taxable this time) at optionshouse and thought their intro deal was pretty special. 100 free trades for 60 days plus $250 cash. I found out via phone you could get the cash instead of a 24 inch Dell monitor, and the rep offered me the 100 free trades too.

I think $5000 is the minimum to get the offer, but you might want to call them first (who knows, you might get even more stuff).

$250/$5000 is a 5% return even if I don't use any of the free trades! Of course I will use at least half of them doing microspreads for a few % profit a month.

Edit: I have no affiliation with optionshouse and don't get anything from them but just wanted to let others know of what seems to be a pretty decent deal. I have been trading with them in my IRA for about 7 months and it seems pretty reliable.
