Default Stamp Out Hungar

Sat, 5/14 is the postal workers Stamp Out Hungar collection day. Please put any non perishables you can spare out in bags/boxes near your mailbox for your postman to pickup. I am unemployed, living in metro Chicgaco ( NOT cheap) on <$1400/month, paying $438/mon for my health insurance and I still filled a bag.

Be aware: My local food pantry will NOT accept/trash ALL items that do not have at least 1 month on the useby/best by dates. Personally, I am, right now, using 2 cans that had best by dates of xx/09 and x/10 since I KNOW they would be trashed.
