Default Favorite Movie

What is the best movie you have seen in the past year?

I just watched Limitless which I thought was interesting. I don't think there have been many good movies this past year.

The most surprising or unexpected was Bridesmaids.

X-Men First Class... I've watched more than a handful thanks to redbox and netflix, but that's the movie that sticks out to me the most this year.

I think the only movies I've seen in the past year were Tron Legacy and the last Harry Potter film. Tron was good. HP was great. Very sad to have the series come to an end. After 10 years of movies, it is weird not to have any more to look forward to. Of course, we'll be watching them over and over and over for years to come.

Agree that HP7 pt 2 was the best one I saw this year.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was also really good.

Worth the rental fee:

Hangover 2
The Fighter
Crazy, Stupid, Love

...and the two-year-old puts in a thumbs up for "Thumbelina".

We saw the last Harry Potter movie. We enjoyed all of the Harry Potter movies and the last one was no exception.

We also enjoyed The Lincoln Lawyer.

I haven't been to the theater in awhile. But one of the best movies I've rented recently was Battle Los Angeles.

Went to see "Tower Heist" a week ago. Some funny moments but the plot was a little far-fetched. Alan Alda plays a Bernie Madoff type character and that was interesting. First trip to the movies in months so it made a nice out for us and another couple.

Soul Surfer.

Kinda weird pick for a 23 your old male, but I don't think myself or my buddies made it out of that theater without welling up or shedding a tear or two.

I was really excited to post because 13 Assassins is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, but I actually came out in 2010.

For me, the best that stand out for years is the Pearl Harbor. The rest, no interest to watch them. So I can't tell if there's any good movies other than this.
