Default Looking for frugal (not cheap!) alternative

Could there possibly be a more frugal alternative to this $78 "natural wood" stick? Hmmm?

Commune | Community Shop | Products |

That's $1.34 per inch. I'm short and probably don't need a full length walking stick. Do you think I should negotiate a 10 inch shorter stick at 48inches X $1.34/inch = $64.32 ?

What would my old stick be worth on a trade-in? It is 6 years old, but still runs fine. Just has a little wear on the finish?

If I can work a good deal, I might buy several sticks and spiff them up for re-sale. I figure with rubber tips and racing flame decals I could probably double my money. What do you think?
