Default Financial pet peeve...

Here's one of my financial pet peeves ----

Snack chip bags that are huge and all filled with air. You open them up and there's only 1/2 a bag of chips inside.

What's your financial pet peeve? Share yours and we'll all have some fun venting.

ATM fees. I can't imagine how much money banks make off them!

I refuse to get money from anywhere but my bank. I've paid ONE ATM fee in my life!

My fiance, however, got smacked with fees getting money at Wawa thinking it was "FREE" because of their ads ~ Well, his bank sure did charge. I think it was $30 in fees in one month. OUCH. Pretty expensive lesson for him...

ARRRRGGGGHHH.

My pet peeve are those family members and friends who assume that since I make more money than them, I should be the one who pays when we go out, etc.

Paying fees to cancel something you no longer need.

My financial pet peeve, we want to move into a bigger place and since I am more financially capable of saving money and not blowing it on a bunch of non-necessities it has become my responsablity to save my money for the cost of the move, down payments etc. Oh did I mention there are 2 other bread winners who are responsible for paying for our house & utilities?

my pet peeve has to be fathers who think that buying the kids toys or giving them parties make up for child support! (especially those who are willing to pay for a pair of brand new All Stars as a "leaving the hospital" gift, but will not contribute $0.01 to pay the hospital bill!...or, who are willing to buy the kid a fancy brand-name back pack, but will not buy a notebook!)

My financial pet peeve is bank fees! My husband used the bank card from our old bank by mistake and instead of refusing the charge like they should have since the money wasn't there, they charged us a fee for insufficiant funds. Then, because it's our old bank that we don't use, we didn't even realize what was going on and the fees kept coming....and coming. A thirty dollar charge turned into over $300. Ridiculous! Ok, sorry. I'm done now.

Greeting cards! I hate them! I broke down and bought cards for hubby's birthday today from me and the two kids. $10.61. That's right. 3 cards. More than $10. And these were not spectacular cards. Not the kind that require extra postage (the true sign of how much you love someone). They weren't all glittery. Just 3 plain cards for over $10. That's it for the year. Everyone else gets homemade cards, or tags on their gifts made out of scraps of wrapping paper!

Helping a person because they really do need when your help, and as soon as they get cash watching them blow it.

Got a new one -- CC companies that raise your rate for no good reason. They just sort of "feel like it." so up goes your rate. You can see my other posts about this. GRRRRRR!

Commercial convincing you that you need something when you don't.

New & improved stuff like cell phones & computers so you have to buy them all over again in a year or 2.
