Default Saving money on postage!

I saved money on stamps! I took the challenge and bought 100 dollars worth of stamps for 89 dollars. That is over a ten percent return on my money. Stamps have monetary value. This site has helped me save money in so many different ways. The stamps are older but they are really cool, Some of the stamps are more than twenty years old. I don't care about the age of the stamps just the money I am saving. Did anyone else take advantage of this challenge?

PricePlus,

What were the denominations of the stamps you got? This challenge intrigued me, and it's definitely a new way to save money that I'm not taking advantage of, but I had this vision of receiving $100 worth of .01 and .02 stamps, and having the entire envelope absolutely plastered with them. Was it that bad? If not, advise and I'll start doing it, too.

I recieved 200 .22cent stamps along with 200 .15cent stamps. I also recieved 100 .10cent stamps and and 200 .8cent stamps. I realized that I would need 100 .1cent stamps to utilize the tens and eights together.

I recieved them from Henry Gitner Philatelists, Inc.

The address is:

53 Highland Avenue
PO Box 3077
Middletown NY 10940

The stamps look to be from the eighties. You have to lick them but hey that is not a biggie. I have to look for the website and I'll post it as soon as I can. I think it especially neat to send out letters with old stamps on them.

that's totally groovy.. thanks for the info!!

you know, I heard that the price of stamps are supposed to go up soon, so perhaps you may not be that much in need of those 1 cent stamps...

Here is the original article I wrote on this: Getting Stamps At Below Face Value which was the basis for the challenge.
