What are your money goals?
Ok This goes along with the other thread
What are your money goals? Long Term, Short Term, Inbetween Term?
Do you have confidence you'll reach your goals?
My goals:
Contribute $4,000 to my Roth this year.
Grow my cash savings, for future endeavours.
Make additional payments to my mortgage.
Make additional payments to my student loan.
And get out of debt before 2035 (30 yr mortgage).

Re: What are your money goals?
To continue to send extra money each month toward mortgage principle.
To save the money and pay cash for a newer truck for hubby by September (probably wishful thinking considering the truck we want, may have to save for a few more months)
Save the money for my October Florida beach vacation (a must have)
To not use a credit card for anything, at all!!
We finally got completely credit card debt free last month, and gosh it feels so nice, I don't ever want to go back.

Re: What are your money goals?
Short-Term: Pay off balance of home equity line by April 2006. Pay off car loan by December 2006.
Long-Term: Pay off mortgage, save for kids' college, and retirement.
I'm confident that I'll reach them (eventually). I'm less confident that I'll meet them by the dates I laid out...

Re: What are your money goals?
Debt-free in 2007 - long term
Bring all outstanding accounts up to date - short term
Pay off 1 credit card - mid term
They look deceptively easy!! But it will be tough!!

Re: What are your money goals?
Short term - Build savings back up to where DH and I feel comfortable (we have a number in mind and are about $2500 away). After that's done, save money for vacations and home improvements.
Long-term - Pay off house in 18 or fewer years, be able to retire once DD is through with college (she's five now), and be able to pay for DD's college tuition.

Re: What are your money goals?
Short Term Money Goals:
1) Emergency fund of between 8 and 10 thousand dollars.
2) Replacement fund major household appliances.
3) Save up for car replacement.
Long Term Goals:
1) Save up for the kids college fund.
2) Save enough for retirement. (I don't think SS will be there for me)
I guess I have a bunch of goals but this is the short list.

Re: What are your money goals?
Pay off debt. Where we are now, it'll take about 5 years to get out from under CC debt. We owe about $50,000 in debt outside of our home.
Van: $10,500
CC#1: $ 3,250
CC#2: $16,800
LOC: $13,200
Mortgage: $126,000
Business CC: $6,500
Ugly, isn't it. We only bring home about $ 42,718.00 after taxes, health insurance, etc.
Getting out from under this debt seems nearly impossible. Sigh, sigh, sigh.

Re: What are your money goals?
My money goals:
SHORT TERM
-Save for overseas trip to visit inlaws in May (just paid $2500 for airfare alone-yikes!)
-Continue contributing to 401K up to employer match and start adding to my initial investment in my Roth IRA
-Stop checking (hourly!) the realtime quotes for the stocks making up the majority of my mutual fund holding.
-Stop spending so much money on food!
MEDIUM TERM
-Save for downpayment for a house (aiming for as close to 20% as possible)
-Put money aside for moving expenses for moving to Texas in a year or two (I hear the housing market in Houston is very reasonable).
LONG TERM
-Buy a house
-Pay down my student loans. I'll be paying on these forever, so I generally see my income as my salary less my student loan payment! It's all worth it though Luckily, I was able to consolidate at a low interest rate.
