I have sneaked it in a couple of times.

The feeling is great. The alcohol & the adrenaline rush together.

Anyway, I remember being at a Tiger game a few years ago in Detroit. I was standing. A group of young guys were next to me. One had a bottle of cinnamin Schnapps in his pocket. Maglio Ordonez hit a home run to bring us to the World Series for the first time since 1984.

I thought it was in all good fun some young guys could get a buzz and enjoy the game, but my inner self knew it was wrong.

I don't beleive in rampant drinking or bringing booze to games b/c it might encourage people to get drunk and drive.

The beer prices? no one is making you buy any.
I'm a Detroit'er too. I was at the game we had against I believe Minnesota where we needed to win that Game to get into the play offs. We wound up loosing 8 to 2.
In the new Comerica Park the beers are also $8 bucks, I wound up going for the stronger larger alternative and bought one of the two foot tall Margarita's for only $9 plus the souvenir cup. Didn't suffice well though.

I not only commend bringing in a flask if you have a Safe ride home and want to have fun, but I go as far to RECOMMEND bringing a second flask just so you can have extra fun while your there! Or get creative and bring a camel pack full of Long Island and share with your comrades!!!

Amazon.com: CamelBak HydroBak 50 oz Hydration Pack: Sports & Outdoors

It is warming to find out even though this forum is filled with many responsible, intelligent, wise people. we can all share the consolidated love for a refreshing cocktail here and there!
