Where is the least expensive place to get eyeglasses without any insurance?

There are a few places where you can order them online and they are dirt cheap, like under $20/pair. Personally, I haven't been able to figure out how to get the measurements right but lots of other people have done it and been pleased with the results.

As for buying in person, I always go with For Eyes when they do their 2 for $99 sale as I need prescription glasses and sunglasses, so I get both for $99. America's Best is also one of the cheaper options.

I purchased five pairs of glasses from Zennioptical.com over the past year and half. I bought various styles of glasses and a pair of prescription sunglasses. The price range has been between $8 to about $20 and of five, only one was not right. It made me dizzy. The one that was not right was the one I added anti-reflective coating and I am thinking perhaps coating might have caused the problem. In order to get the measurements, when I went to the local optician to get a prescription, I brought along the form and asked the optician to provide the necessary information. In order to get insurance to cover for the vision testing, I told optician that my eyes would get dry and irritated sometimes (which sometimes does happen).

We ordered a pair of glasses from http://25dollareyeglasses.net/home.html and they are actually pretty good glasses. The website seems kind of crappy and the frames look the same for both men and women, but we are completely satisfied with my wife's glasses.
