I leave mine in HSBC online, but I don't bother getting checks. It just transfer back and forth between BofA and HSBC. I have to save actually a lot for my DH's tuition every 4 months $6-10k, and it needs to be cash! So we always seem cash rich KWIM? But really we're not. This month we charged $4k summer school course and I am about to pay of the bill.

I knew it was coming but it's PIA to keep stashing so much cash.

For reality sakes, if you don't want to be cheap let's call it Thrifty...

You won't die without eating a single day nor without buying the trendiest clothes at the malls...

“SPEND MONEY WISELY”, I repeat, “SPEND MONEY WISELY”!!! Refrain yourself from buying things that are not really necessary, when you have no money left here's another reminder... Borrowing money from a friend to pay your bills can not actually help, rather you're just creating another gateway to financial crisis. Worse may come just buy a pain reliever if you do! Well, here's an ADVIL the fastest way to take your headaches gone...

Seriously, whenever you have money, pay your bills little by little but of course give a little consideration to yourself, leave a little amount on your pocket for your food allowance... Disregard the things you want for the meantime.

"MEANTIME" so just need to wait a little more....

Hmmm...you're not willing to make any changes and your mom is buying your food and making your meals. Do what you're doing for as long as you wish, you will merely continue to get the outcome outlined in your opening post. There is a strong possibility you will slip back further as you will desire newer stuff.
