Just a heads up to my fellow members:
I almost threw away the little package I got from them thinking it was more junk mail. Instead I opened it up and there was five crisp one dollar bills along with my tv diary. If you or anyone you know receives something from them, don't throw it away or you might be throwing away free money!!! |

Only $5? Is the diary just for one day? I thought they paid $30 for one week.

Yeah, it was five dollar bills in cash!!!
Originally I got a post card saying I was selected to participate. Then I started getting phone calls but I ignored based on wondering how much trouble it would be. So fast forward to today and I thought it was just junk mail, but I opened it and found the money. There was a tv diary and other papers, but I was in a hurry to get back to work. Tonight I'm gonna read through everything. If they do pay more it might be worth it!! |

I've also made a similar mistake in the past almost tossing out what I thought was junk mail only to open it for some reason and find out it was actually something important. I did this just a few weeks ago. There is a marketing company that sends lots of pharmaceutical advertisements (I'm a doctor). I almost tossed one recently and didn't. When I opened it, it turned out to be an invitation to join a survey panel that will earn me $1,000 over the next year. The outer envelope didn't indicate that at all. It just had the company logo for the marketing company.

I've also gotten cash in the mail for surveys.

I had someone from neilsons knock on my door
they were looking for a home with children that did not have cable to participate i told the gal "good luck with that " she said she had knocked on over 50 doors and been unable to find such a house in our area ;-) |

My son also got $30 cash in the mail a year ago. He's a student in a heavy program and did not have time to watch TV that week. So his diary was pretty easy to fill out.

Me too -- I find it's worth going through junk mail to make sure there's nothing worth keeping, shredding, or as has been the case on many occasions, a way to opt out of receiving mail from the company again.
