Default I have Health Care Insurance Questions For You All

I want to buy health care insurance (not Medicaid or Medicare). I am almost 40 and in so-so health. I haven’t had a check up in a while. I take some health burn meds and vitamins. I want to buy some comprehensive health care insurance, what options do I have? I am not working right now, but I will be looking for work in a few weeks. I will probably make under $2k a month. So my future employer won’t provide comprehensive health insurance. I am single so I don’t have a lot of overheads. I looked into the state HMO in New York, its called healthyNY. It’s a very streamed line HMO with a lot of co-pays.

What are my options? I am a hypochondriac, so this is a major issue for me. I am going off of the state healthcare program when I get a job. I rarely use the state health care program except to buy some health burn meds. I am grateful to be in it, but it’s not a very good program. The doctors in it don’t really care or put much effort to provide quality care to their patients. So I am interested in buying private health insurance when I get a job soon. I don’t know where to look; can anyone provide me with some clues? The NY state’s healthny cost $300 a month for single person with $3K drug limits and $2K co-pays annually. Is there any other cheaper program out there that provides comprehensive health care coverage? That includes surgery, drugs, specialists, lab work, mri/cat scans, etc that cost under $500 a month?

Health insurance is one thing.....but have you ever considered buying your medications from Canada? You can save from 20 to 80% on brand name prescription drugs. While its not insurance, the money you can save can be used to pay your premiums. Check out ibenefitRx.com. Its a legit site. There are others as well.

Well there are many factors that can go into the cost, but I would check out the following website for some quotes:

Health Insurance, Medical Insurance, Individual Health Insurance Quotes
