I have a new laptop and I love it. I got a sweet discount since I am a teacher...do you know a teacher that can snag it for you? (if you pay them and they buy it of course)...it would save a few bucks.

Don't feel guilty if you really need it. Nothing wrong with spending every now and then

Best advice is to use cash....especially now. Do your research and play resellers off against one another...
If you had to work hard to save it....then they should hafe to work hard to get you to part with it...right?

Why are you feeling guilty? if you are in need of it then definitely you should have it. And you are not spending money on waste thing, you are spending it on a good purpose.

You and I are in the same boat, minus the feeling guilty part. I need a laptop for various reasons, so this summer I'm going to save for about a month, and acquire the much beloved mac book. Its going to feel a tad bit odd to spend $1300 on the mac, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

There is no reason in the world to feel guilty about buying something that you need.

If possible I would save up for it though. IMHO all luxuries should only be purchased with cash. We could argue weither or not it is a luxury.

The one kicker is this, once you have this lap top, you don't decide next year that you "need a new laptop" again. It should last you 3 to 5 years atleast.

Enjoy!

You can use your laptop to earn money via online jobs, so look at it as a "capital"

Not everything is money mate.

Do you want that laptop? Can you afford it? Will you make a good use of it?

Sometimes one just needs to do what he wants to. Enjoy the laptop!
