Default Does anyone do the mystery shopping?

If so, some feedback would be great. I'm interested in doing mystery shopping but know nothing about it. Are these companies reputable? What have your experiences been? TIA!

I've done a few. You aren't going to make a living doing it or near as much money as you see in all the come ons. Especially at the beginning. They can take a lot of time filling out the forms and if you don't get compensated for your travel expenses, you can actually spend more money than you get. It takes a lot of time and effort and I never found it worth it.

I did it for awhile but have found that gas and time my time were worth more than few bucks that they were paying me. Not worth it.

I concur. Unless you're going to be in the area the shop is in it's not worth it. Also, I did one shop where I had to drive a ways, buy something, then I spent my time doing the report. The company had the gall to not accept my report because I spent 5 minutes less in the store than I was supposed to.
They didn't pay me!! I was so mad that I haven't done another job since.

Thank you. I suspected that the money wasn't worth the time, gas and effort. It's nice to hear from people that have been there.
