Default What is your biggest money wasting temptation?

I kinda noticed for me it is eating out. lol. Even though I use coupons almost ALL the time and there are times it is even cheaper than cooking, it's my fall. I like cooking too. I can't think of anything else right now.

In thinking about this for a couple of minutes, I can't idenitfy JUST ONE and maybe that is the problem. I have too many ways to waste my money.

Eating out would probably be mine, too. I'm really not a big spender otherwise. I don't do a whole lot of recreational shopping.

Going to the casino would be the other thing, though that's a mixed issue since I've got a pretty good track record. I've won 7 of the last 8 times I went.

Food period. Eating out costs alot but even groceries can add up when I am stocking up and when I plan a fancy meal.

I really don't know.

I prolly should find out.

I like to eat out, but we rarely do, I like to go places, but I doubt that is the biggest non need spending.

Eating out. But we share a meal in most cases to limit the damage.

I have a nice watch fetish. So far I've been good about controlling it, but I'm sure I'll lapse one day.

eating out, travelling, snowboarding, video games, dogs (Huge, huge money drain). Seriously our pets cost more than everything else combined.

Especially when you consider one is getting a lot older. yeow! And I mean stuff like flea and tick medicine, boarding, vet bills, food, treats, damage to our house, etc.

We replaced our carpet in our first condo because our dog kept throwing up on it. It was too hard to clean so hardwood. Now we have hardwood and he likes to vomit on the rug. And he's 13 so I put down a pottie napkin just in case, but he likes to go on the rug if he can't go outside. And he's housebroken it's just age. And no i'm not putting him down. He's an awesome dog otherwise.

But seriously I calculated with everything I think i spend around $300/month for my dogs. Yeah around $3-4k/year.

Purses.

Definitely purses.

I like to collect purses (designer and non-designer) and the cost can add up quickly! I don't spend a lot on clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. because I buy them from thrift stores or Ross.

My boyfriend loves to eat out allll the time and we have compromised on going out no more than twice a month. Our favorite place to go to is all-you-can-eat sushi.

I could say the same about my daughter but I think we'll keep her.

Eating out is definately my biggest temptation. Two years ago I was spending close to $1,500/m in sit down dinning and fast food. It was hard to break that habbit, but now my wife and I stick to a budget of $200/m fast food and $300/m dining out. We are working on cutting that even more!!!

I'm sure because it is universal. We don't all buy golf clubs. We don't all have pets. We don't all wear make up or buy purses or collect baseball cards. But we all eat out at least occasionally.

I have to admit that I probably justify eating out too much. Food is the center of what brings people together.

It's a toss up between dogs and boats. If you've never heard this saying I'll state it for you. "A boat is a hole in the water that you dump all your money into" I have a small one and a larger one so I have two money holes. I am an occasional breeder of lab retrievers and although I can get several hundred dollars per puppy, I doubt that I really come out ahead of the game because I can never resist keeping one for myself.

Easy for me.... Vacations! We didn't spend a night away from home for 8 years, and I have been seriously making up for that. We have 4 kids so any travel is expensive. I have vowed to myself to cut waaaaay back this year
