Default I am so happy! I overcame a temptation today!

On my lunch break, I decided to walk into Target, with no plans on purchasing anything. Well, you all know how not planning on purchasing anything can go I ended up seeing these beret knit hats and they looked so cute on me and would've been great for covering up bad hair days. Well, they were 9.99 a piece, had two in my hand, and convinced myself to treat myself to them. Now, I am on a budget and tend to go over budget for treating myself as is. Well, I get to the checkout line, look at the hats again and then decide that it was not a need, so I ended up putting them back. I am so proud of myself!

I actually get a kick out of going to the mall, walking around, browsing through some stores . . . and leaving having only spent $2 on a cup of coffee.

I don't have many friends in this area, so I do what I can to keep myself entertained

Great job! I'm always proud when I leave a store without buying a thing. Sometimes just browsing is enough for me.

Yesterday I was in a store looking at wallets. (I have an unhealthy obsession with purchasing wallets, and I probably have 50 of them. I can only use one at a time--the last thing I need is another one!) I spent 15 minutes trying to decide if I should buy one or not. Then it occurred to me if I needed 15 minutes to decide, I obviously did not need to buy the wallet. I left without buying anything... for once!

Browsing for enjoyment is completely foreign to me. You won't catch me in any kind of a store unless I'm there to purchase something specific.

My wife is the same way. Probably one of the reasons we live within our means!
