Kroger as a finance company?

Last week we popped in to the neighborhood Kroger to pick up a couple of items on sale...standing at the line waiting for the cashier we noticed some brochures...Kroger apparently not only has it's own credit card, but has it's own company to give mortgages and loans.

I think Kroger does those services through US Bank. Some larger retailers are into this.
