Default Working Lounge/Break Room

Do you ever take a break and sit in your lounge/break room at work? Today, I thought I would go out of my mind. All I heard was a lot of whining and employees running down and talking ill about other employees. If something isn't their job, then what is their concern and the need to run down whomever's job it is? Sheesh. I guess I always feel that I would be next in line to talk about.

Yeah, sounds familiar. Actually, more griping about the company than anything. It gets old though. If you hate the job, then quit already.

Literally, when I first started working we had a REALLY old microwave. I Would sit in the lunch room and everyone would whine incessantly about the old piece of crap. Then I tried to heat some soup and it took like 10 minutes.

So, I go to my boss and ask when the last time was he used the microwave & I asked for a new one. I told him there was employee discord over it. (What I didn't tell him was if he didn't, I was going to buy a new one because it was driving me nuts!) There was a new microwave the very next day. LOL. Anyway, of course, the whining continued, about other things (about as silly). Whiners will always find something to whine about.

But yeah, the most whining (& gossip) happens in that room. Maybe that is why I stay away.
