Practical is an adjective that means: adapted or designed for actual use; useful: practical instructions.
I have a scenario where I would pay a little over $1650 each month to the HEL and I have it paid off in 9 months. This scenario may not work in reality, depending on orthodontic work, car repairs, home repairs, ect. We will do our best to get the loan to zero by the end of 2009! |

My goals are to:
Pay off my husband's student loan Save money for renovation in the upstairs bedrooms. Needs to be insulated. This is not alot but I'm on maternity leave at the moment so it's the best I can do. 2010 will be the year of big accomplishments. |

My financial goals are:
1. Refi house at or below 5% 2. Fully fund our emergency fund by the end of the year 3. Max out my IRA contribution and hubby's 401k 4. Save as much $ as possible by making greener choices (making my own detergents, driving less, etc.) |

Mostly, we've got financial goals like replacing DH's old car, a new mattress, getting money into our IRAs and I-bonds, and so forth. They won't really require much effort because I have automatic transfers to savings set up.
The only real habit-change kind of resolution I have for the year is to take my lunch to work more often. I decided that after spending $7 one day for a really lackluster lunch from Wawa, including a $3+ cup of soup that wasn't even hot! I've treated myself to a fancy new lunch bag and some Tupperware, so it's easier to pack something beyond a sandwich or a Lean Cuisine. |
