Default OT Anyone hear of a Facebook e-mail virus

I got 4 e-mails today (that I did not open) saying someone added me as a friend on Facebook. Strange thing is it is 4 people from college, only one of whom I stayed in touch with and I haven't spoken to him for 2-3 years at least. I suspect it is a virus in his system. I e-mailed him (though I don't know if the address I have is current) and told him about it. I do know his sister's current e-mail so I'll contact her, too.

Anyone else run into this?

Turns out it was legit. My one friend tagged me but I didn't get an e-mail from her. I only got one from her brother and 3 other college friends. So I actually got back in touch with him which was nice. We were roommates senior year (1985-86) and we kept in touch for years after that. Once we started having families, we drifted, as often happens. I think now that everyone's kids are growing up, people are starting to look to reconnect. I know I am.

Haha, great that you have incentive to warn people on this forum.

Luckily it was a false alarm. It's nice to reconnect with people and what great timing it is to reconnect at this time.

Yea, I've had people I haven't heard from in 5+ years find me on facebook recently... it's crazy to suddenly hear from them again, but great to catch up.
