I tried to buy a GPS system from Techon Digital. I placed the order over the Internet. After placing the order they either email you or call you wanting you to confirm the order. Once they get you on the phone they attempt to sell you over priced items and if you don't purchase those items they either tell you the item is out of stock or send you an email telling you it's out of stock for 6-8 weeks if they ever get anymore and tell you not to place the order again. They continue to advertise the item on the Internet stating that it's in stock. They tried to tell me I needed a memory card for a GPS system I informed them they came with preloaded maps and I had plenty of memory cards if I ever needed one. I have names for people like them, but I might get thrown off the forum for using them.

Is this a place that also offers a service that reviews your order for $5 extra? Is this also a place that states in their check-out that if the items in your order are not compatible, they will cancel the order without consulting you?

Sounds suspiciously like the place DH tried to order a GPS from earlier this year. He never called them back because he felt what he'd already encountered by that point was at best weird, and at worst terrible customer service. He returned an email instructing them to cancel the order. 8 weeks later I got a call from someone wanting to confirm the order after all that time. I told them he spent the money elsewhere. I hope you canceled your order too, and didn't reward that kind of behavior with a sale.

Even though that company came up as the cheapest on a price comparison site, it turned out that it was actually cheaper to buy it on Amazon.
