Default Was Black Friday really enough?

It seems to me that these big Black Friday sales are going to be extended long beyond what retailers had initially planned for since holiday spending is so far down. Do you think these will go on until the end of the year or even into next year?

I'm sure the sales will continue and the deep discounts will get deeper as the holidays approach. Folks aren't spending as much. Electronics sales were down 14% from a year ago over Black Friday weekend. That's a pretty big drop for tech which is usually the hot seller - computers, video games, MP3 players, digital cameras and such. Sounds like more people are going for practical, more reasonably priced items.
