The wood floors look great! When you're able to totally finish it all, you should post those up as well.

That looks great! I'm not one for judging style, but the contrasts between the blue walls, black furniture, bronze curtains, and white bed are really nice.

May just be me being CDO, but the carpet fragment isn't centered in the room... is that intended? With the bed sticking out diagonally, I think centering it would look better, with a bit of the wood flooring around it on all sides. With the bed up against the wall like it was would have been fine as it is, but it just seems a bit uneven.... Just a minor thing though, and it's your room, so whatever.... It does look great though!

Just my opinion, It's okay. I think just painting the wall, and changing the window treatment and cleaning up the clutter visible in the first picture would have been enough. I don't think the refinished bedding is better at all, altough i can understand changing it to go with the color.

The floor looks WONDERFUL, but then after all that work and money, you hid it with the carpet that also cost money.

This is the PFF, I would imagine the idea would be to redo your room for cheap, that's a bid expensive for one room, imagine if you had to redo 3-4 rooms, living room, etc. :-O

I totally disagree with segmond; I think it's gorgeous. Very pretty blue and bronze.

Thank you.

This is a $350,000 house with a bedroom that hasn't been touched in 30 years. My dad felt that if we were going to update the room - we had to do it "the right way". The wood floors were ruined under the carpet, because 30 years ago they put a glue adhesive between the floor and a thin piece of rubber.

I'd keep your ignorant comments to yourself, segmond. I am obviously not on the same budget a you...and I am not redoing 3-4 rooms...I am redoing the room that I am moving into with my fiance.

And as for "covering it up" with a rug...have you ever heard of protecting a wood floor? I obviously want it to last. Also, the last thing I want to do is have cold wood floors under my feet when I wake up.

As far as the "clutter" - there wasn't any.

As far as the bedding, the old set was $18 (for comforter, bedskirt, sheets, shams and throw pillows) a few years ago and was clearly falling apart. And the new white bedding was $40 in total.

Thanks to the rest of you for your kid comments.

why does my comment have to be ignorant cuz i don't like your taste?

like i said, i love the flooring, but then you hid it with that rug, and that sucks. I do have hardwood floors myself, and I put rugs in the room cuz it gets realllllllly cold, am just giving my own comment. sorry, next time, make a note that only those who like and agree with your taste should leave a reply.
