Agreed. Moving aggressively forward with saving/debt redux regardless of the market can have a dramatic influence. I'm following the same thought processes right now, and even though my investments have lost, I'm saving so much more than that.

I think it's simply a function of all of us investing in essentially the same market. The more broadly you're diversified, the closer you become to the average. My investments (both regular and retirement) have also lost a total of ~$1500, a bit over 7% of my holdings. If you look at it (sorry, I haven't), my guess would be that the total market has dropped approximately 6-8% compared to 1 month ago.

Age: 49.

Last time i checked, my net worth was $665,000. It used to be a lot higher before the market turmoil.

My only debt is $69K left on my 6% mortgage.

My complete financial profile is listed on my blog.

I just turned 21 and my net worth apparently is just under $20k

This includes: assets in my home which are actually worth something, my car, my superannuation, my savings and current cash, credit card balances owing, car debt.

lol, i expect in six months time it will be something like -$450 000 when BF and I buy a house. woohoo.
