Default Proposed budget...if I buy this house...

Monthly Income:

$2900

PITI: $1100
Utilities: $ 440 (assuming 40% on top of PITI for this)
Car Insurance $ 50 ($600 a year)
Gym Membership $ 20
Food $ 200
Car Savings $ 50 (Unexpected mechanical things)
Roth IRA $ 200

That leaves $840 a month for savings, renovations (that I don't need to get done right away) and entertainment (which...I don't really need much of).

Car is paid off...no debt...

My fiance and I get married in Sept. 2009 and that is when we will have his take home salary of $2400 added each month...

It will stay in my name until we get married.

I think it looks like you can make this work. I love reading other people's budgets! By the way, that is one cheap gym membership. Oh yeah...does the $200 for food count eating out? That would be low for me, but maybe you're good at staying in.

Retrofitness.net...very good gym and very cheap!

I don't really eat out. Maybe $30 a month honestly.

My fiance is in law school...EXTREMELY frugal. And I have been saving every penny I have and not doing much for entertainment.

We love going to parks and having picnics...taking hikes at local trails...cheap stuff...haha!
