Default CPI security rant

Do not get CPI security system! Not only is the darn thing always on the fritz but I called to cancel it today and there is a penalty of 75% of the remaining contract fee!!! That is absolutly rediculous! And to avoid the instalation fee there is a 60 month contract!!!!! Avoid indeed, the stuff was instaled when the house was built!!!! And the 'extras' like the window sensors were not included with the house so there still was an out of pocket expense.

The only good thing about the system was the very nice lady who told me I am stuck paying 35$ forEVER! (ok so like 3 years). She was very patient and didn't get upset with me or anything which is good since I wanted to cry and scream at the same time. Oh and supposedly someone will be abl to fix it so it isn't always on the fritz.

Default Re: CPI security rant

You have to be really careful with those long term contracts. I ended up getting a free computer but had to sign up with compuserve Internet service for three years. It didn't turn out to be a terrible deal, but I could have done much better had I not gone that way.
