I see nothing wrong with being compensated for time while giving plasma..weather you need it or not. Isn't like plasma centers are full and you are taking money from someone who needs it.

I personally LOVE donating blood. I am up to about 2 gallons so far, I've lost count. There is nothing gross and it really doesn't hurt at all. I bleed fast and usually takes under 5 minutes (3:48 is my record for a pint).

I've never had the chance to sell, but I would have nothing against it at all. My understanding is Red Cross sells my blood for about $500 while Health South only charges $150. Additionally with Red Cross my blood could go anywhere vs HS where it is used all locally.

Considering they sell the blood I donate, I think getting paid would be great.

As for giving blood, you save 3 lives every time you give.

I sold plasma back in college and wouldn't have any problems doing it again if I needed the extra cash.

It's a great way to get paid while you read.
