Default Starbucks offers free wireless internet

I just read that Starbucks is now offering free wireless internet for 2 hours per day. It's about time. I wonder when there will be free wireless anywhere and everywhere? Are there any cities that broadcast a free signal now?

Not exactly free. You have to use your Starbucks card once a month -- in other words you have to buy overpriced coffee. (Or you can be an AT&T DSL customer).

Weatherspoons pubs offer free wireless also. You can get cheap coffee or even cheap beer

But it doesn't apply to you if you only have the basic dsl service - which is what I have

The number of free wireless spots are popping up around where I live. It seems eating establishments are hopping on that particular bandwagon at a rapid rate.

It wouldn't surprise me if this became the norm rather quickly.
