Default You can sell your old cell phone

Thanks to creditcardfree for teaching me something new today. I posted in my blog that I had to replace my current phone because the battery wasn't holding a charge very long. I hated to send my otherwise perfectly good phone to the landfill. Now I know there are companies that will buy old phones. I Googled "buy used cell phones" and found a company that will pay me $10 for my phone. I can get a new phone for free after rebate and then sell the current phone for $10. Good deal.

Just thought others might be interested.

Hypersion, thanks for the idea. I checked ebay to see what my model is going for and it is very little, if it sells at all. However, I also checked for replacement batteries and they are under $7.00 including shipping. For that price, I think I'll just get a battery and keep my phone.

You can also donate your phone and get a tax deduction.

By the way, be sure to remove all your personal information before selling or donating your phone.

Good point, wouldn't want people finding all of your numbers and photos!
