Do you'll order them online or go into a store. I heard they where cheaper if order online compare to walking into a store.

I don't know about cheaper. I just go online and compare the rates, special promotions and programs and such before I buy into a provider.

By the way -- off-topic -- I was thinking about canceling my Verizon contract and switching to a different provider. The Verizon rep mentioned that you can now downgrade your plan without resetting your contract. Also if you have gotten a new contract recently, the fee to break the contract is prorated. Each month you have the plan, the fee to cancel goes down by $5 or so.

We do both. We go into the store so we can see the phone, handle it, see if we like the display, the buttons, the features, the weight, etc. Then I go online to see if I can get it cheaper or buy a factory refurbished model. AT&T always has a good selection of refurbs for a nice discount over new.

I got $100 (phone was $zero with two $50 rebates) back for buying my last cell phone on Amazon.com. My co-work bought the same phone in a T-mobile store for $30.

The last time one of us bought a phone (my cousin, who is on our family plan), we went into the AT&T store. They actually have a computer set up in the store where you can browse the selection at their website. The same phone that was $29.99 in the store was $9.99 on the website, so we ordered it online instead of buying in-store.

I went to a mall kiosk store. I knew exaclty what I wanted and did my homework on the phone I wanted, that I LOVE (I was a new customer to Sprint), and they gave me the phone for $50 minus a $50 rebate, so the phone was free.

You can get better deals in store if you are good at dealing with sales people. Personally I'm not so I would be able to get a better deal online.

I don't know about that. Maybe it varies by company. With AT&T, the phone prices are what they are. They don't negotiate. If it is marked $29.99, everyone pays $29.99. But I might be able to get the same phone online for $9.99 or even for free. They don't even charge for shipping.
