Unhappy Help! How will I know how I'm getting the Stimulus Payment?

I recently moved, but for my 2007 taxes I had used my parent's address as my permanent address. I did not receive the letter that was supposed to go out in March letting me know that I would be getting a stimulus payment. I'm not sure if it went to the wrong address or if it's lost?

Also, how do you know how you will receive your payment? I have read that it will either be check or direct deposited, but how do they know what you want?

Any help would be appreciated, I am just trying to figure all this out.

Thank you!

if you did your 2007 taxes already they go on that. if you filed 2007 and you requested direct deposit then you'll get your stimulus check as a direct deposit. if you request your 2007 as a check then you'll get your stimulus as a check.

We moved in 07 also and the IRS sent us a letter at our old address. The post office forwarded it to us. When I printed our taxes at Turbo Tax they asked how I wanted to receive my payment. There was a choice of Direct Deposit or by check. This was because we have to pay this year and there wasn't a refund being sent back. Just file your taxes by April 15 and the IRS will get the payment to you.
