Default Grinches out in force

There were a lot of ginches out and about today. The stress is starting to show on the retail people. I had a very rude sales lady today, but I could tell she was just frustrated with all the shoppers. I never am quite sure what to do. There is no reason for her to be rude to me, but I do feel sorry for her job at this time of year.

I had a person steal my parking spot that I waited 5 minutes for...he just pulled in at the last second. I hate when people do that. No manners at all.

I should make a vow not to go shopping the last week before Xmas. You don't see much Xmas cheer in the stores this week.

It's good that you have self control when it comes to parking spot disputes. Unlike some people

My personal response to irritated clerks is a smile and to ask if they are having a bad day. My husband flrts with the girls too (nice and politly) might not work but it usually has some effect.

Somehow things get all out of hand the closer to christmas, I think it ties in with the theory that we need to give more bigger and better. Really since when did Grandmas happy with a pair of skates split between two sisters birth the spend all bunch? (tell me I am not the only one who grew up hearing the skate split, or the chess one, 1 bro gets the board the other gets the pieces). I guess maybe the trouble is with credit and the 'I deserve cable welfare' we are a generation off from the depression. Sometimes I think the depression was a good thing and might need to happen again. OK so the depression was rather severe just to get people to stop expecting everything.
