I *think* we are going to get $1800 total. $600 for me, $600 for DH and $300 for each of the kiddos. I am putting the kids' portion into their accounts and DH is taking his $600 to do whatever he wants with it - I'm sure stimulating the economy in some way! I'm not sure what to do with my $600. Unless something comes up before then, I will probably just put it into my Roth.

I know I already answered this question.
I'm wondering though, what other consumption uses for the stimulus package would be worth considering. They should meet all of the following criteria:
1. Save me a greater percentage than what the money would earn in a money market account.
2. Allow me to save more than 5% in a household budget category (e.g.; food, energy, insurance, household operations) on an annual basis.
3. Support a local economy.

It will go towards my college tuition as my company only reimburses for two classes, and I am taking three classes in fall.

If I Didnt Get A Letter About Getting A Stimulas Check Does That Mean We Arent Getting One? I Also Have A Student Loan That Is In DefaulT And The Irs Keeps My Tax Return.does That Mean I Wont Get One? Confused In California.help!!!

As for your question, it looks like they can take your rebate if you are behind on your student loans...

I put into a highly rated, but risky small biotech who is expecting a drug approval this summer. I figure it is money I was not expecting so I set it aside as my high risk stock stash.

It did not occur to either me or my son to ask in the ER whether the surgeon the ER called in was "in network" with our insurance. He's not. Therefore, it looks as if we will be transferring the "stimulus" to the surgeon. So, put a tally mark in the column with those using it to pay debt.
