Pay With Your Phone

You can now pay at most convenience stores in Japan with your mobile phone. No swipes of a credit card or debit card. Just point the phone at a box and the money is transfered. It's pretty amazing stuff, but not good for people who don't manage their money well. If like most technical gadgets coming out of Japan, you can expect to start seeing them in the US in about 5 years or so.
