Default Is this a safe way to make extra money?

I was looking at the post in the extra money section on doing clinical tests to earn extra money and was wondering if this is a safe way to earn extra money? Has anyone ever done this before?

I don't know. There just seems to be something about this that makes me feel uneasy. I am curious as to what they are like and how much they pay. If anyone has every done this, I'd like to hear your impressions.

It makes me uneasy as well. I don't think I could do it.

I've done it. CAD$300 for two full days of my life, with a nurse taking blood out of me every hour. Yeah, I went home with bruises up and down both arms, but they gave me two free meals each day, and the cash at the end. I'd do it again. I've been paid a lot less for a lot more unpleasantness in my life! I'd like to find studies that just want your urine -- it doesn't have to be extracted by something sharp.

Interesting. I never thought about this. I may have to do a bit more research on this. If it is the right clical trial, it could be interesting.

Doing research such as sleep tests, giving blood or urine I think would be okay. The thing that worries me is taking a drug that hasn't been fully tested yet and seeing the effects. I guess I should give some calls and see if there are ant studies that I would be willing to take part in that don't involve things that seem risky to me.

Too risky? Studies using human subjects occur only after laboratory and animal studies have been completed successfully. Given that chimpanzees and humans have 98% of the same DNA, I'm happy to provide that 2% difference for a little discomfort but so much money ). If human studies weren't done, I'd find taking medications of any sort more risky.
