Default cc authorized user to increase credit score

I remember hearing a while back about adding someone as an authorized user on your account to give their score a boost. Is this loophole still open? My MIL has been doing AWESOME since her separation to get back on track, making all her payments on time, but her score is still low due to many years of credit misuse. DH and I both have excellent credit, and would be willing to out her as a user on one of our accounts if it would help her. She's looking to sell her home and purchase another in about 6 months. She stopped using credit cards several years ago, plus we would not be giving her a card to use, so there is no concern about her charging anything on our accounts.

I am pretty sure the authorized user loophole was fixed.

"The '08 version of the FICO scoring software, available in September 2007, will completely bypass any accounts listed as Authorized User. Fair Isaac expects that about 30% of consumers will see a drop in their FICO score as a result of this. Initially, the new software will only be implemented by one of the credit bureaus (I don't think they named which one). The other two will pick it up in early 2008."
