Default where to get cheap plane ticket?

All I know is Expedia.ca and I was wondering... Is there any other website that sell cheap plane ticket to Europe and Africa?

Do I have to wait three months before I buy the ticket? I'm leaving next year at mid-June till the end of July probably. I'm taking a direct flight to Spain and I'm going to take the train and boat to Morocco...

By the way, I'm in Canada.

I really like cheaptickets.com

Good service and all that.

Though lately I find these searches are good for finding good deals, then when you find the "cheap" flights call the airline directly and/or check their website. I have been finding it cheaper to buy directly in the last couple of years.

qixo.com is another (I have searched it - friend recommended - but cheaptickets has always been cheaper).

I'm in Canada too. I highly recommend considering flying out of the States. It is often cheaper. Good luck in your bargain hunt!

Kayak - searches all of the Orbitz, Cheap Tickets, etc. sites for the lowest airfare.

My personal favorite is ITA Software. Click on "log in as guest" and you can get options to search for flights that aren't available on others, like month-long searches. You can even click on the airfare to see the booking details - gives the type of fare and the booking code to give the airline when you call.

Good tip from MonkeyMama to log on to the airline site directly when you find a fare. They don't charge you the service fee that the other "low fare" sites charge.

I HIGHLY recommend looking at whichbudget.com
The site is excellent. It lets you select either a departure city or an arrival city. And then it shows all the budget carriers that fly in or out of that location. It covers the world, not just the U.S. The budget carriers usually don't show up on a lot of the above mentioned search engines.

I really like kayak.com
Also, check airlines' sites directly if you know they fly directly out of your airport...some airlines like Southwest aren't picked up by the discount sites.

For more tips, you might try flyertalk.com. I found an error fare there last year that got me to England and back for $214. It's rare, but it happens 8)
