A 20-cent difference would certainly make me go to the cash-only station (I don't use a debit card). It always amazes me when stations can have that wide a price spread. There are 2 stations near me, on opposite sides of the street, that are typically close to 40 cents apart, and the more expensive one still seems to get plenty of customers, though not nearly as many as the cheaper place. I don't know what the heck those people are thinking.

I remember when service stations provided service, including attendants who pumped gas for customers. Well, that was too labor intensive, so to save costs, they did away with attendants, and customers were left to pump their own fuel. But did prices go down? (Ha!)

It seems that anyway businesses can stick it to the customers, they will do so. What's next? Entrance fees to the gas stations?
