Default Your oldest T-shirt?

How old is your oldest t-shirt? Does it have anything on it (besides spaghetti stains, I mean)?

I'm not sure how old mine is, but it says CorelDraw across the front and I got it when CorelDraw ws first on the market. So maybe 1989, 1990? 17 years?

I bet we don't hang on to our old t-shirts out of frugality, for the most part.

I only have one old one--it was purchased in 1997. It's not stained, but it's ripped from the crappy dryer in our first apartment. It would take a lot to get me to part with it.

I bought it on my first trip to Disney World and I bought my best friend a matching one (she still has hers too.)

I have a WVU T-shirt from 1981. It is very thin now-my son wears it.

1990? (I am only 30).

I was just thinking about this because I have an OLD night shirt that still looks brand new. It is big enough I was still able to wear it while pregnant (as a lot of my clothes). I know I have had it since high school.

I was thinking if all my clothes of such quality I wouldn't need to buy so much. Lord knows why this one has held up so well.

I have many from the 90s that are really worn, but I just like to have a few t-shirts for around the house or the gym so I keep them until they get hole-y.

Not a tee shirt, but I have a sweatshirt I bought in 1985. It is used for pajamas, since the writing on the front is really worn.

This thread makes me laugh because I'm a t-shirt junkie, much to the annoyance of my husband. I have t-shirts from all over the world -- South Africa, New Zealand, Chile, Costa Rica, England -- which I have collected over the years. I have strong sentimental attachments to these shirts, because they are reminders of experiences I've had and places I've been/lived.

But the oldest t-shirt I still have -- although I obviously don't wear it anymore! -- is one I got in the 1st grade at Dexheim Elementary School in West Germany. It's white with a picture of a smiling/snearing red devil on it and underneath says "Dexheim Devils" in red. I got that back in 1978 when I was five!

I have my high school graduation class shirt from 1982, so that's 25 years. I also have a few from college (82-86).

I don't have any old t shirts but my DH just gave away a quilt I had made him out of his old t shirts. They all had pictures of dragons on them and didn't fit anymore (he shrank)

I think my oldest shirt would be the unwearable (too small) wrapping for some Christmas decorations, one was made by me, and one by my brother. Nice and soft to wrap stuff in, and what better time than Christmas to remember .

I also have a shirt from high school, but most of the shirts I sleep in are my husbands...and I guarantee they are older! (he is older)

I have one that's circa 1983. It has cows on it by a well-known Vermont artist, and i bought it when i lived up there. I just sleep in it.

I have a Red Dwarf t-shirt I got in 1989 during a PBS pledge drive. It's in really good condition. My daughter wears it now. And I have a sweater from 1986, ditto on the daughter. Ooo, and I have the A&W Root Bear t-shirt with the bear prints on it that says "All Tracks Lead to A&W" that I got when I was four, which was 1974. Both kids have worn it and it now resides on a teddy bear.

I have a white Naval Special Warfare Unit Ten T-shirt that I picked up in '95-96'. I used to work out in it regularly before I joined the teams. It's so old and faded now that it's literally see-through!

I'm pretty sure that's my oldest shirt.

I have a T-shirt from 1987 from a 5k race. It has the date printed on the T-shirt but the date is barely visible now.

I have one that has to be about 15 years old, from a vacation we took to Michigan. It's from Frankenmuth, and has a boy and girl dressed in lederhosen and a dirndl on the front (very German-influenced tourist town).

I'd just lost some weight before the vacation, and looked pretty good (for me!). I've kept it because we have good memories of the vacation, and also I'm determined to get back into the shirt!
