Default Those $54 million pants

The guy who sued his dry cleaners for $54 million over the loss of a pair of pants has lost not only his pants, but his suit. (Lawsuit). Thank goodness the cleaners did not lose their shirt over this.

I'm sure they're also thankful just to have this pressing matter finished.

May they wash their hands of this and never air such dirty laundry again.

"A motion to recover the Chungs' tens of thousands of dollars in attorney fees will be considered later."

I hope they win recovery for every dime it cost them to defend themselves against this frivolous lawsuit.

I also think they ought to sue him for malicious prosecution. That is the legal remedy for baseless and malicious litigation.

Too bad this guy is still a judge. He's probably going to have a lot of bias against dry cleaners and koreans. He should definitely be disbarred.

I heard on the radio today that even if the idiot is ordered to pay the legal fees for the Chungs, they probably won't recover any of it since he is very likely to be out of a job soon (his ten year term is up and it sounded quite likely that he would not be reappointed).

He should be sued for damage, slander, and legal fees. In fact, I hope everyone who has ever met him comes up with a "reason" to sue him. Maybe he looked at someone askance at some point and they could sue him for "emotional damage", etc.

Wow, he really put those people through the wringer. I hope they take him to the cleaners now. They deserve to have this all ironed out in their favor.

Wow, three laundry-related idioms in a row -- I'm impressed!

Here's another one: I hope they sue the pants off of him!

Default a fund-raiser..

I believe I saw on the news that there was a fund-raiser to help them. I think compared to the crazy legal bill ..something like $400k, about $80k was raised.. .Not exact numbers, but in the ball park.

Personally, I hope that judge does get disbarred or otherwise loses his right to practice in the legal field. It's absolutely horrifying that he could do this to someone. So awful really.
