Default Wachovia Vs. Suntrust

Hi all. I am currently a member of Suntrust Bank, but the town where I live in only has three of them and I never seem to be around any of them when I need one. Wachovia, on the other hand, is on just about every corner in my town. My question is simple: How is Wachovia? Are there fees pretty much reasonable compared to most other banking institutions? Hows their customer services? Does anyone have any horror stories/good stories?

I haven't had any problems whatsoever with Suntrust. Its just a matter of convenience and finding a branch in and out of town when I need one. Wachovia seems to be all over the place. What do you all think about that? Should I pull the trigger on the change or not?

I was with Wachovia since they were First Union. THier customer service is outstanding, and when I had my identity stolen, they were the only ones willing to help me, and the branch manager cancelled meetings to help me out (not bad for a 19YO who dosent keep a high balance).

I haven't paid any fees......my checking is free, as are my savings and CD wtih them.

I have relatives who bank with Wachovia and are quite satisfied.

I do live in the middle of nowhere but I have suntrust and don't think there are any wachovia banks around. I have never had a problem with suntrust they actually had given me a 3.9% interest on a used car loan

I have friends that bank with Wachovia but I use Suntrust.

I have NO fees from them. They have been pretty good so far. Plus, I am getting bill pay 100% free.
