Default The pursuit of wealth

I need help with my essay in English about the pursuit of wealth. I have to make a thesis out of it from the book "Paul's case" Here's the link of the resume : http://www.geocities.com/Athens/oracle/4925/index.html

I took a quote from Paul about the pursuit of wealth. His dad introduced him to a man who went up the top of the ladder in the business and he's making a lot of money now. Paul's quote from the story is that he was only interested in the cashboy success but not the road that man has taken and he believes that wealth should be given to him rather than to work for it.

I have to make a thesis out of it about the pursuit of wealth coming from Paul's quote and to talk about it generally. I need your help about other people point of view about the pursuit of wealth. It could be anything about the pursuit of wealth because I need ideas for it. I have till the second week of March to hand it in but I'm planning to finish it by next week.

I'm only making a thesis out of the three, the other two are my team mates will be working on two different themes but mostly about Paul's view of perfection.

Thanks in advance =).

The story of Paul is the story of every poor man that is destined to die poor. I don't think that religion has anyhing to do with it. There a "rich" and poor in every denomination.

Wealth is a state of mind which manifests as dollars. Wealth, all types, are in the mind.

The wealthy/rich are wealthy long before they receive any "money". At the age of 12yo when you decided to put your allowance into a piggy bank and not spend it, you became rich.

In Paul's case he seeks monetary wealth without understanding the means in which to get it. His father another poor man is clueless as well. .

Paul may have been ADHD. Maybe not. This diagnosis still wouldn't negate all the other poor men who think like him. They don't have ADHD.

It is my belief that Paul is like every other poor man destined to die poor. He was looking for something for nothing. Paul wanted to steal his dream, not work for it. He thought that the world owed him the good life because his life was hard.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB, PAUL AND ALL.

I'm sure many of us could tell stories about our lives in which we would all need a box of kleenex. But in life which is hard for everyone, you must take the bull by the horns.

Wealth will come to those who know that hard work, living below your means, saving and investing is the only formula for monetary wealth/success in life.

By the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread.

The minute you forget that, you start to believe like Paul and the many mentally poverty stricken in the world, that life should be free. Anger and eventual despair are inevitable.

Duchesse : Thanks! It helps me a lot.. although there are some part where I don't understand like the bold words... It seems out of place.

There was quite a bit of reading material involved here. I was interested and I read most of it. I looked at the points made by the author as well as what it was that you were asking us to consider. The bold words were just my thoughts in a nutshell.

I believe the pursuit of wealth is incredibly important. Three years ago, I was almost killed by someone who was in dire financial straits. She was so desperate she was willing to kill everyone around her.

Nowadays it is really easy for me to notice the wild, crazy eyed look sported by some people in dire financial straits. I believe everyone should make enough money so they are not tempted to harm others in the pursuit of ridiculously small sums of money.

Everyone hate kids that are born in upper class families. I teach freshman biology and the ones that come from better families are actually more soothing to me. They have a much more relaxed attitude. They don't get stressed out as much. It is nice to teach nice kids from nice families.

I think people should not be ashamed to admit that they want more wealth. After all, the people I know who say they despised wealth turned out to be hypocrites. I much prefer people to be honest and just say they want something when they want it.

Tina I just thought Mr. Trumps online information might give you some insights to HIS pursuit of wealth and the mindset behind it from one who seems to have attained it.
