Where do you think this 12 BILLION DOLLARS that was sent by the U.S. Government to Iraq is? I just saw on CNN where this money was actually sent in bundles (ALL CASH) and no one knows where it is. There is no paper trail. Some in Congress feel the insurgents may have gotten ahold of it. I'm sure this 12 BILLION will be passed on to American taxpayers to make up the loss. THIS IS REALLY DISTURBING!!

Now Bush wants what? $2.9 TRILLION? Cut Medicare and Medicaid, he says???

But no, really, I had not geard any thing about cash. $12 Billion? That makes no sense. Sure you didn't hear about in-kind goods of that value that are missing/unaccounted for? You know, communications systems? Weapons galore? Gone! Faded into the atmosphere.

Uh, yeah, he wants to increase $$ going to Iraq and back home, make deep cuts in Medicare/Medicaid, just what we all love, folks, insecurity in our old age while our elected leaders get a pension and lifetime health care benefits.

It's incompetence like this from our president and government leaders that makes it so hard on us who have family members serving in the military in Iraq and Afghanistan and other military operations pertinent to this war that makes it so hard to bear.

But the administration has been successful in tying Iraq funding to "support for our troops". So if you're for reducing or eliminating Iraq War funding then you must be pro-terrorist and hate our soldiers, right?

Yeah....well take ALL of our soldiers outta there and then we won't have to worry about eliminating or reducing funding! Over 3,000 dead and getting worse by the day. Our son is in the military and we just left a funeral here in NY eulogizing one of his buddies who was only 19 years old. Now more troops needed. Will it ever end????

I dont know but I am sure hoping it does my 17 yr old niece is leaving for boot camp in May I am so hoping she dont end up over thier. She dont think she will but I sure do I think its kids her age being sent its so ridiculous I think they send the young ones over thier because they think they are invencible(sp) & nothing will happen to them

This is such a tragedy, young people losing their lives and a waste of money, just ridiculous...another prime example of this is the Katrina funding, just shameful!

They said later last night that the money was Iraqi money that had been frozen and released to rebuild Iraq. But that still doesn't answer where did all that money end up? They even told how many hundred tons it weighed! They needed the money to be in cash so they could pay people their wages and so forth. But to send that kind of money without proper safeguards? And all at once?
