Default April 17 is tax day

Tax day is April 17th this year. That's a Tuesday. Also last day to contribute to your 2006 Roth IRA.

Hum...I'm still waiting for all of tax info....but I don't think I have the nerve to wait that long. I'll probably send my federal in the first week of April to hold onto my money until I have to. I figure (still waiting on the forms, so thing may change a little) I owe about 900 in federal. So I'll keep earning my dollor or two interest until April first. I am getting about $300 back from the state (go figure on that one) so I'll send that in as soon as I get all the paper work in. All in all I'm happy with how I guessed everything would turn out. I hit just about where I wanted to. The government didn't get a free loan from me....not much, but it's something to be proud of.
