Question how much money did you save today?

and how did you do it?
i reused the coffee grounds and added a lil fresh coffee, to make a new pot.
i am using cheap coffee filters for paper towels now...and napkins.... so, much easier to store than the rolls and loose napkins.........
i delayed my multi shopping trip today, until tuesday, so, i can add in another stop,,, so, i saved about $4 in gas...did not purchase the sunday paper today, so, i saved about $1.50

Well, I never get the sunday paper and that is about $3. I am keeping the hot water off and the hear set on 60. I am not using the car today, saving about $1 in gas, plus I am having a no spend day.

I got $80 worth of groceries for $50 after coupons. Not my best, but it included things like milk and wine (for the kids and I , in that order, if we get snowed in tonight) that I didn't have coupons for.

Not much. Not much at all as I had to buy dinner again for some folks. I am starting to dislike some of the relatives!

Yesterday I moved $343.17 to CD Savings Slush Fund. When the total in the account reaches $1000.00 we pop it off to a CD. This is what I call saving money on the way to investing it.

I think OP was actual asking us how we economized yesterday, yes? or how we came out ahead?

Coming Out Ahead: Yesterday I got a free Money mag issue from Mom saving me $2-4 off the newstand prices, but I wouldn't of spent that money anyway as I mostly peruse their articles online or if I ever do look at the mag it's at the library.
Trying to avoid some of the dumber things they often promote - who knows just how well I'll do. Trying to pick up on & implementing some of their smarter suggestions - we'll see. Not quantifiable at the moment.

Economizing: I put a $1.00 day old Entemann's bakery product into the shopping cart for a quick dessert for the supper table. I might have been able to make it cheaper, but time was the factor yesterday that I was 'saving' on.
