Default self employeed-work from home

I know this is a topic that has already been brought up before, but as new people join, and peoples lives change, I am asking it again.

Those of you who work at home, or are self employeed, what do you do? what would you do differently?

Default What do you "work from homers" do?

What variety of opportunities are viable?
How successful can you be?
What does it take to be successful?
Would you recommend this way of making money to a friend?
Im hoping to learn from your mistakes, rather than make my own, all advice valued.

Liveops and west is the only thing i have come across that seems legit. I love liveops and their system but west was a pita to move around their system.

Being a REALTOR means that most of the time I work from home. I am fortunate that we don't need my money to live on so the ups and downs of the market don't affect me as they do others. I like the flexibility I have so that I can be there for my kids. The down part is how much you have to work on the weekends and how hard it is to get away from it. You are always working especially when you live in a small town and everyone knows what you do.

I have been working at home for over 5 years and there is alot more out there then West and Live Ops that is legit. You do have to be careful becuase of the scams but if you do your homework and research you should be fine. I finally bought a book called Jobs Based From Home for help and used their database to find a great legit job. I am not working full time making an hourly wage and I was thinking the other day that I will soon be there a year! I know it has really helped my family out so much. The book also has a website at the name of the book I just gave you and then .net. It is in my signature too.

Good luck to you and I would be glad to answer any questions you have.

i've been using a fund-raising system, where I post ads onto free classified sites to get others aware of the system. The more people that buy into it, the more money you can make.

It's not a pyramid scheme and it's totally legit. A mattress company here in Nashville called Bedzzz Inn, Inc. raised over $90,000 in only 90 days using this system. SOOOO, I've decided that I'm going to try it out throughout the summer and see what happens.

If you're interested, message me and i'll give you the link.

I write. I have always done some writing, but my personal finance blog (in my signature, but now almost totally inactive) yielded me two regular paying freelance writing clients. I still work a part-time job on the side (that one is not from home) but at this point I earn much more from my writing than I do from the other job.

Also, even though my blog is almost inactive, I still earn some decent extra money from ads and referral links on the blog.
