Amber, can you get to the circuit breaker to turn the hot water heater on and off. I do not think you need insulation under the house, my husband never puts it in houses he builds.

If you can start to read your meter daily, it will give you a good idea as to how many kwh you are using each day, then try different things to lower the amount used each day.
