My ex company gives 13-15th month pay as a Christmas bonus.

We get a bonus, i believe it's usually under $1,000. Just learned when my ex called me the other day, get this, he got $33,000 as a bonus. He works in an oil industry-related field. Oh, and his performance review was not stellar.

i think everyone should get a bonus and gc from their employer.. or something of monetary value, it is greatly deserved... it is hard to find loyal employees... i am very thankful for everything that we receive... i hope companies will recognize this in the future... i know how it feels to receive almost nothing... we lived it for alot of years... best to all.

ok I thought I had this all typed out... kids musta messed w/ the keyboard.
The company parties that dh's companies throw are their "bonus' " Though they decided to get rid of the adult Holiday party to make the Kids & the Picnic "better" Though they are pretty snazzy parties by comparison to some. But they've gone down hill over the years according to dh. When I was working they gave us a bonus that was equilivant to about 2 weeks pay depending on how your mini review went & they calculated things & I got paid holidays. That was about the only good thing about that place tward the end. My previous job was retail and my only bonus was getting Christmas Day off, w/o pay of course! |

We get a $100 to $200 in cash right before the holidays (depending on how the year went) and we usually get a pretty swanky office party.
Additionally, we get our "real" bonuses in March - these are a week or two of pay, minus taxes which end up being a lot. I hear of others getting larger bonuses, but I'm happy with what I get! |

We get Cutco knives every Christmas from DH's company. Don't get excited...he works for them so we are always giving them away because we have way more than we need.
My company does not give a bonus. |

I'm not against bonuses (though I think it's not a good idea for the government to give holiday bonuses) but I'd rather some places paid an honest wage year long. |

I'm self-employed so no bonus. I usually get around $50-100 in holiday tips plus another $25-50 in gift cards and a box or two of chocolates from my customers. It's all greatly appreciated, and the best part is knowing that they thought of me.
My husband is also self-employed and he gets no bonuses or tips. |
