Default Vonage

Has anyone tried this telephone service? I'm looking into it, but wanted to see if anyone has it and what if it's worth it?

Thanks!!

Like the AFLAC thread I must say they have great commercials but I know of no one who has used their services!

We have had Vonage since March of this year and are very pleased with the quality of service and the price.

We use the 500 minute plan at 14.95. Our bill has never totaled as much as $20 including taxes, fees, and the couple of times we have gone over 500 minutes. Of course, they offer unlimited for 24.95.

I would also recommend getting Vonage, or any VOIP, by accepting a new phone number. Most of the horror stories I've heard about switching to a VOIP involve getting your current number transfered. I just got a new phone number and it was set up immediately.

We have it and it works pretty well.

We have had some quality issues (echos, static, cutting in and out) but they're fairly infrequent and so far haven't made us want to give up the service.

Our bill is about $18 a month! The cheapest plan with the phone company (just phone, local access only, no voicemail or caller ID) is about $30 with all the taxes and fees figured in. I was never so happy to say goodbye to SBC/AT&T or whatever they're calling themselves lately!
