Default Will You Shop on Black Friday?

I was reading Jeffery's article on the best way to shop on Black Friday and I've been doing it wrong all these years!! I never knew people were that tricky.

I don't shop for the electronics, but there are some good deals out there so I usually go. The main problem are the crowds. Do you go for the deals or do you stay home to avoid the crowds?

ACK!!! i don't remember the last time i shopped on black friday, it gives me a headache just thinking about it!! seriously, my family's tradition for a couple of years has been to hole up at someone's house, eat leftwovers till we're ready to pop, and avoid the mall like everyone there has the plague.

We usually don't go out on that day. Stay at home, eat leftovers, watch football. If kids here, we might be playing a game. I just can't handle crowded places. We usually don't have everyone's Christmas list until after Thanksgiving. Then we shop the first week in December.

I'm generally a relaxed Target Black Friday shopper. I go about 8 or 9 am after the crowds have died down a bit and get the few sale items worth shopping for. Target is usually very well staffed and put their sale items in several areas of the store...like TV's in the womens clothing department. So depending on the sales...I'll be out.

I'm off to check out those black friday ads on the web!!

Not me, no desire, plus the fact that the nearest mall is a 2 hour drive one way!

it would have to be an awfully good deal to tempt us out of our "cave".... we really dislike crowds and most years we just relax at home together...

No way!!! Never have done and don't have the desire. I don't care for shopping much to begin with and really hate it when it's crowded. I don't care to go to Walmart on regular shopping days because I feel too crowded.

I worked in retail one year on Black Friday. It scared me so badly that I have never shopped on that day!

Nope, neva, eva. I will do my Christmas shopping the way I have for the past few years which is online through a moneyback site. It's worth it to me to pay a few pennies more to avoid that madness.

It's too bad the people on this site aren't representative of the general population. I'd be able to get right in and out of the stores on Black Friday.

I do I go just to get the freebies LOL probably not the consumer the stores like the most but I do what I can!!! I first go to sears & stand in the freezing cold for an hour dying to catch some kinda pnemonia for a measly $10 gc then most years I cruise over to pennies just down the mall for the free snowglobe I have a collection of those!! Then I run to younkers & if they have the $10 off $10 coupons I am all thier the rest of the day buying my kids clothes for as little as .88 cents & then I run home am exhausted the rest of day then head back to sears before going home & get some more stuff with my $10 gc

This year today as a matter of fact dh got a crazy idea in his head that I will be at walmart all night waiting for PS3 well guess what if he wants it he can stand in line all night I almost got ran over for a TMX elmo doll earlier this year that the store didnt even Have LOL!!! Cant imagine what PS3 will be like not worth it to me!!!!

I can't even get up that early! My in-laws go and if there is anything I really want I will give them money for it the night before and have them pick it up. Only done that once.
